We had a great ride to the rally in La Crosse Wisconsin. Yes it was a long way and our bottoms were hurting once we arrived.
We met several members from across the US and a handful of people wanting to join the VRA.
Overall I would say the rally was a great success. It was discussed having the 2008 in Pennsylvania and in 2009 Texas.
We met Former National President Lorin "Fly" Potter, 2006 National President George. We had 3 bikes and 5 members attend from Texas.
That area is almost equal to the Texas Hill country for twisting roads through the hills, but also has the Missisippi River and all it's beauty.
On a sadder note the first day of the rally "Duct Tape and Luaugirl" were injured when the bike went down in a slow roll right turn. The pipes bottomed out on a dip in the turn ejecting both of them from the bike.
The bike suffered minor damage to the crash bar, but Duct Tape broke his collar bone and hurt his back and ribs. Luaugirl hurt her right leg and knee.
At the end of the rally we rented a truck and hauled the three bikes and two trailers back to Texas.
We will be looking forward to the August meeting and ride. it was great to see so many people with the VRA patches on their vests.
Thanks

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say I had a great time at the VRA National Rally! Can't wait til next year. Everyone was so nice and the scenic rides through the Mountains & along the Missisippi River was well worth the 1400 + miles we traveled to get there.
Hope to see everyone at next months meeting and monthly ride. Winchester
