I recently heard a question that asked "If you wanted a bike to look like a Harley, why didn't you just buy a Harley?" and of course my response was that I like the look of a Harley, but the ride and performance of a Kawasaki! Here's my most recent addition, still working on it, but should have it ready by the July National Rally.

Actually, it's funny you mentioned the saddlebags, I found 2 different styles that I like that are made for the VN2000 with the exhaust pipes accounted for, they are a little short from top to bottom, but look great on the web page pictures! I also looked at the beetle bags, I can't afford them, the ones I looked at are standard plastic or ABS bags that I can mount right to my existing saddlebag mounts. Since they are not pre-drilled, I can drill my own mounting holes and place them where I want. I will probably get them this fall. With the layout of the bike so far, tourbox location etc, I will probably mount them a little aft of where they are shown on the pictures to help balance out the overall bike appearance.

I went with National Cycle Engine Guards, They are made specifically for the VN2000's and much more affordable than the Kawasaki version (almost $100.00 less after all was said and done). I like the look of them and they use the standard 1 1/4" pipe so I don't have to order special highway pegs for them. Here's a few more pictures of what I have added to her in the last 2 months (since I bought her) On this first one you can see the fairing and crashbars On this one you can see the Tour Box and Trailer Hitch One this pic you can see the hitch a little better And on thos one you can see the Crash Bars a little better Keep the old saying in mind, "I can either ride her or wash her", so she's very dirty in these photo's! Ride Safe!

Woody did you get a VN2000? HA...re-read my post and it does kinda sound like I "love"my VN2000. Nope, rather, I love my Cobra Fatty's on my 1600. AND my highway pegs as well. ;D Woody
