My Vulcan, when it was new out of the box, had the cooling fan going almost at every stop. Its been 3 years and i noticed it has not come on in awhile. All I have done is change out the stock intake and open up the pipes. Could that had made a difference in the temperature or is the cool fan busted??? Any advice would be appreciated before I go to the dealer. Thanks

I wish I had an answer for you. Mine has only came on a few times since I bought the bike, at least only a few that I have heard it run. Ride Safe!

My cooling fan only comes on after sitting still for about 3 -5 min.

I wouldn't worry about it. There seems to be a lot of variation in when they kick on, even on the same bike over time. When my bike was brand new, my fan came on like clock work as soon as I pulled in the garage and shut down. I rarely ever heard it even while standing in traffic, and only once as I recall while I was actually under way (it was one of those 107+ days we had a couple of years ago.) Now it sometimes comes on when I pull it in to the garage, but on cooler days, even that doesn't happen. There's an idiot light on the Mean Streak that comes on if it ever gets hot. You may have one too.
