dumped $600 and change on a new shock for my bike. Easy install because I let Centeral Texas Powersports do the work. I have a pit pass and they do all the mech work on my bike minus new tire installs.
Progressive Suspension 420 is as the name sounds ... a progressive shock. Damper setting 1 to 5. Factory says to set it at 3 for base setting. It has an air valve facing a certain way so the shock will only go in one way and facing to the right.
So far the ride feels like I made the bike an almost hard tail. I'll tune it during the week. I do like the fact I have not bottomed out since the install. Purposely tried to cause the rear tire to slip or chatter doing a near lock up rear brake only stop. It did not happen. I feel this piece of hardware should have been OEM equipment, if for no other reason then safety.

Yeah the only major problem I have had with my VN2000 has been the uni-shock on back.
My next major purchase will be that.
